H.W.B. WALKER MEMORIAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING SCHOLARSHIP

​

  1. The applicant must be a member of the church for at least one year. In addition, the applicant must have regularly and actively participated in church activities, by supporting the church with his/her time, talent and financial resources.

  2. Applicant receiving a scholarship must be in good scholastic standing and must achieve and maintain a Grade Point Average of 2.5 or better at the time of application.  *Students with learning disabilities may apply. Only the official transcript from your School Counselor will be accepted by the committee. 

  3.  Applicant must be a high school graduate with a high school diploma or high school certificate, who is pursuing a university or college education, or a special vocation at an accredited school.

  4. Each applicant should provide at least two references documenting his/her active participation in church activities. Reference forms are to be completed and provided as part of the application package.

  5. The applicant must show verification from the office of the registrar documenting proof of college enrollment for at least 12 credit hours of classes.  **Students with special needs may request reasonable accommodations by submitting appropriate documentation of their disability.  

  6. Each applicant shall provide a current picture of him or herself.

  7. All applications must be submitted through this website.

  8. ANY APPLICATION RECEIVED AFTER THE DUE DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. THE APPLICATION WILL BE RETURNED TO THE SENDER UNOPENED. No exceptions to this policy will be granted.
