Dr. Guns is the Senior Pastor of the Second Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia, where he has served since June 1983. Second Calvary is a leader in serving the community and in the area of global missions. He currently serves as State Director, Department of Christian Education of the Virginia Baptist State Convention, Inc.
Dr. Guns co-founded the Norfolk Pastors’ Coalition in 2014 to lead local Baptist congregations in addressing urban social and economic problems.

For the Family
We have ushers and greeters ready to greet you during every service and ushers available to help direct you to an available seat.
If you’re curious on what to wear: Come as you are, we do not have a formal dress code for church attire. During the summer months of July and August, we also have dress down Sundays.
For Children (4-11)
Children’s Church: Children between the ages of 4 to 11 years have a special service every Sunday where they have a lesson tailored especially for their understanding and spiritual growth.
Teen Church: Middle School and High School Students have teen church every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10:30, they are dismissed after praise and worship.
