The Ministry of Social Service is our commitment to living out the Great Commandment of Jesus Christ, “And you shall love the Lord your God…this is the first commandment. And the second, like it is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
And the second, like it is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31). Through the social ministries of the church we seek to live out a clear biblical mandate for “biblical righteousness and justice.” We seek to be a living witness of God’s grace and love for all of humanity. This ministry is devoted to serving as the congregation’s voice in the areas of social justice, social concern, social change and social ministry. Through this ministry we seek to be visibly present in the community where we are planted. It is our means for serving as God’s agent of social transformation. Social Ministry is our work on the Home Mission field.
